Dr. Awadh Amir Binhazim is currently the Associate Vice President for Research and Professor of Biological Sciences at Prairie View A&M University, a Member of Texas A&M University System.  Educated in the medical sciences, he is a German Academic Exchange Scholar (DAAD) and a World Health Organization scholar (WHO) with a Ph.D from The University of Georgia. His career in academia and scientific research spans over a period of 25 years, initially at MD Anderson Cancer Center and later as Full Professor of Pathology at Meharry Medical College.  In addition to the Medical Sciences, he has taught courses on Islam at Vanderbilt University, and has given numerous Khutab (Friday sermons), lectures at Universities, Colleges, Schools, Churches, and at other forums in the USA, Canada, Malaysia, and East Africa.
